Notaries are part of the oldest branch of the English legal system, the other two being solicitors and barristers. Notaries are usually also qualified solicitors.
The role of notaries is mainly the certification or authentication of documents and signatures in respect of documents for use abroad.
I am a solicitor and notary, based in Redhill, Surrey.
